Assessing the Spine With Motion Palpation | Gonstead Chiropractic in West Omaha, NE

Hello, I’m Dr. Joel Marley with Family First Chiropractic. Today, I’d like to describe one of the five objective criteria in the Gonstead chiropractic system: motion palpation.

Motion Palpation

During each visit, the doctor will assess the patient’s spine by moving the bone above about the bone below. This helps determine how the joint is fixated, guiding us in deciding the appropriate type and direction of adjustment needed to correct subluxation.
